SILENT PROTEST AGAINST PARENTAL ALIENATION

Samuel Ibrahim

Guest Post by Samuel Ibrahim, author of Mind of the Prophet, The Diary of a Curious Mind

Friends,

My name is Samuel Wesley and I am a family law attorney in Houston, TX. I write by the pen name Samuel Ibrahim.

On January 15th, I began a silent protest against parental alienation.

If you’re unaware, parental alienation is when one parent intentionally keeps the other from spending time with their child(ren).

Many of the clients I serve endure this emotional distress and attempt moving on with life while also grieving their child’s absence.

These are middle class parents who barely squeak by because they pay child support. The money needed to properly litigate a severe case of alienation would send these folks into poverty.

As a result, the courts aren’t the remedy best suited for them.

Law enforcement in Texas won’t help although it’s a felony under the state criminal code. Police routinely refuse to investigate.

District attorneys offices send parent back into the family court system they can’t afford.

Child Protective Services cannot investigate because parental alienation, although well documented, is not considered child abuse in the Texas Family Code.

Many attempts have been made to contact local and national media without any assistance.

These parents deserve better. They feel like no one cares. Family and friends who are well aware of the severity turn a blind eye because it looks like baby mama/baby daddy drama.

I could recite all the studies and statistics that make the danger apparent to anyone with common sense.

This is my ask if you:

  1. Share this blog post on your social media.

  2. Please share my LAST post on any one of my social media feeds. Not all of them. Just one of the four. I’ll list them below.

There needs to be a change in TX law, and we need your help raising awareness.

Parental alienation may also be an issue for someone you know, wherever you live.

Simply sharing this post would be a huge help to the families who desperately want to be a parent to their sons and daughters.

In your caption, simply state, “Parental alienation is child abuse. #endparentalalienation

Friends, I can’t thank you enough for your help.

I will not be on social media because this is certain to provoke controversy and my protest is a silent one. The focus must remain on the problem at hand.

Parental alienation is child abuse. Without exception.

Which has been exacerbated by the global pandemic.

Thank you in advance. May the Universe multiply your generosity one hundredfold.

Samuel D. Ibrahim was once a Baptist minister in Houston, TX. He's also a licensed attorney and advocate for special needs children and parents alienated from their children. His first book, "Mind of the Prophet - The Diary of a Curious Mind," was an accident. Sam never intended to write a book when he began. Writing helped him to overcome a severe, protracted bout with depression. Writing also served as a method to organize his thoughts to understand recent mystical experiences. However, after sharing his expanded views about God and the Universe, many of his blog readers encouraged him to publish these supernatural experiences for public consumption and discussion.
